The 9th Avian Dragoon regiment can trace its origins some 200 years ago. Its precursor, the 17th Avian Cavalry of King Encre, armored to the teeth remained unmatched until the introduction of fire arms. The regiment was disbanded and reorganized some 100 years later following the incursion at Yord’s hill. The 9th Avian dragoon regiment armed with sabres and revolvers rather than lances and heavy armor, still retained its traditional former emblem. Three feathers representing the rider, the bird, and the bond they share.
